The UK Government is working towards its target of achieving a carbonzero
rating for all new homes built in England by 2016. Achieving a carbon-zero requires exceptional levels of thermal efficiency in every part of
the home especially windows and doors.
From April 2010 the minimum requirement for replacement windows must have at least a 'U' value of around the 1.7W/m²k mark, or a BFRC certified 'C' rated window, to stay in line with Part L of regulations. This is likely to change again by 2013 becoming even more stringent to eventually achieve a zero-carbon rated by 2016.
We can offer you a fully certified 'A' rated window which achieves a very high level of thermal efficiency. Manufactured to include thermal inserts with a double glazed sealed unit which achieves a U value of 1.3W/m²k, this window is guaranteed to make a noticeable difference to the energy costs of your home. Keeping heat in, and icy cold temperatures out, these windows can really help save you money and reduce your carbon footprint.
